Waiting

It's been 13 days, Oni is still not back, I miss him badly.
It was a busy week last week. I had to go to Mississippi to do a little house hunting for my new job. We found some potentials and will be working on those from now onwards.
My wife and I suffered from food poisoning on Saturday evening, the entire Sunday was ruined because of that.
I accepted 2 new illustration assignments, nothing is firm yet but I agreed to start with rough sketches. One of the pages has something to do with grandparents waiting and it goes like this:-
It reflects a lot on how I feel at the moment for my cat. Thank you all for commenting and for your wishes. I really appreciate them.

  8. So sorry about Oni, Alex!! Have you put up 'missing cat' posters? Maybe contact your neighbors? Around here, if a cat is outside and hanging around someone's house, it is likely to be adopted and kept inside. Hope he comes back soon! Your sketch is very moving, showing so much of your pain. Good luck!

  14. Hello! I've missed a lot, I realize now... I really hope Oni comes back - I know what it feels like. As usual your drawings are fantastic. I especially liked the Hayley drawings, your cat's eye, and the very funny crawfish MonaLisa. Crossing my fingers for the return of your cat.

  18. Sounds like you are having a rash of not so good stuff. I sure hope it turns around, you find a nice new place to live and work and perhaps a new cat from a shelter (those kitties really need a new chance at life themselves). It doesn't mean you are replacing Oni, it just means another cat gets a chance to live. They each have their own personality and never stand in for an old pet. Good luck on all of this. Your picture does look like a loney view.
