More concept lines, but these are for separate stories and separate authors. I am just throwing ideas out there and waiting for their feedback.
It's hard trying not to get too 'deep' into them as I knew that they are still just within concept sketching phase, but I sometimes do forget and I just had to stop myself.
Thank you so much for all your feedback and comments on my previous post. I really do appreciate the encouragement and the warm welcome from everyone of you. It's almost like coming back to a cozy home after a long travel. You guys are all AWESOME! ^^
They're simply charming Alex!
ReplyDeleteoooh, love these! I really like that combination of realistic and a little comic/manga-ish! :)
ReplyDeleteYour customers will love them too, I'm sure!
(What kind of project is this? Illustrations for a book?)
I like the middle one best, it reminds me of my kids when they were little. Great work Alex!
ReplyDeleteI think they're really wonderful. If they don't get accepted, it's just because someone has the taste of a dog ... (something my FIL said to my MIL shortly after they were married when he disapproved of the wine she ordered at dinner .... it's a wonder she stayed married to him! lol). nancy
ReplyDeleteMarvelous illustrations, Alex!
ReplyDeleteOh, Alex,
ReplyDeletethese are lovely. I, too, like the mix of realism with whimsy.
Keep us posted on the progress.
xoxo
So sweet! Keep going!
ReplyDeleteAll great. Period. If they reject one, it won't be because of the quality of the work, it would be because they want to say it another way.
ReplyDeleteGreat work Alex, I really like the middle one the best, and the little girl is cute.
ReplyDeleteFrom joy to tears. Well done!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute baby
ReplyDeleteThese are great - you have captured the movements so well.
ReplyDeleteThink I've missed a post Alex, sorry, concept sketches for ???
ReplyDeleteAs E*phi said these sketches are an interesting mix of realism and manga.
Great style!
ReplyDeleteRe: the little girl at the bottom. Is she supposed to look happy or sad. I saw the drawing and immediately thought the looked unhappy, but I can see that it might be possible for her to be seen as happy. Am just curious. You have a unique way with facial expressions. I noted the young man in the centre of your page header when I first saw that.
ReplyDeleteI love your sketches! That dog is so cute, and the girl is amazingly well done! Great work, Alex!
ReplyDeleteThese are absolutely delightful!
ReplyDeleteGreat sketches Alex, sure the author will love them.....
ReplyDeleteYour work has gentleness and sensitivity.
ReplyDeleteGreat drawings, already, even in their sketchy stage! Love the little dog sleeping, very sweet! Go, you!
ReplyDeleteThese are all amazing, Alex! They show so much warmth and character. I hope something comes of this for you.
ReplyDeleteYour new sketches are wonderful! You've injected so much emotion into them:)
ReplyDeleteThank you, as always, for your inspiring comments on my work, as well!
Have a great day, Alex!
Lovely work Alex! These drawings communicate warm feelings of joy!
ReplyDeleteReally nice drawings Alex. Such warm faces and really good movement. Very well done. Do keep going with them. :-)
ReplyDeleteYou've captured the warmth and movement of these groups really well.
ReplyDeleteWonderful sketches, Alex! Have you decided if you'll use the manga or realistic style yet?
ReplyDeleteWish I could draw people like this, they are wonderful, you have a deceptively simple style, which I am sure is actually very difficult to achieve.
ReplyDeleteSimply fantastic, Alex.
ReplyDeleteWith the little girl's face it looks like you tend to draw in a realistic style, don't you?
Any way, I love them ^^
Wonderful sketches, Alex, your talent is really great: I'm amazed at how you can sketch those wonderful and so expressive portraits !I love them all but the little girl is such a dear !!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAlex, these are wonderful. You've captured so much emotion and also the physical postures of the children. I hope they are accepted.
ReplyDeleteI especially like the middle one.
