Anyway, I had asked my friend's permission to draw her little daughter a while ago, and she said okay. So I did! :)
(Pencil on Moleskine Sketchbook 5.5x3.5")
Her name is Yuna, and she's half Japanese half Chinese. She looks super adorable in pictures(her eyes are so big and pretty!), and I like drawing adorables ^^ I hope her mom approves of this one.Sorry again for not been able to post things online. It's not that I haven't been drawing, I actually have been doing a lot of drawing on DrawSomething, and doodling on my work log :). Work's been crazy, and too much video gaming. A lot of be planned for this year including moving wife and Meela to Houston, travelling to Malaysia, and house-hunting in Houston.
Thanks you all for reading and for your comments.
Beautiful soulful eyes! You have captured the innocence and curiosity of a child quite well. It's hard to get proportions right on children, but this is great. I love the hand, too.
ReplyDeleteThank you Joy :) I like drawing children because of the reasons you've pointed out
DeleteAbsolutely beautiful drawing - enchanting, really! I am forever amazed at your ability to draw small children. Yuna's mother will definitely approve! It will be a treasure.
ReplyDeleteI am personally coming over and throwing out your video consoles so that you can devote all your spare time to drawing -- so I can see more!
ROFL!!!! Guess what I am doing now Dan :p No I am not drawing, and yes I am playing video games ^^
DeleteYou need a carefree place to share your doodles with us too! She has gorgeous innocent eyes I bet she is going to be a handful, my sweetest is the toughest.
ReplyDeleteAhhh..my doodles =) yeah, I might do that some day. Thanks
DeleteLove this, Alex, and I've been missing you. Do share your other art with us, doodles and all.

Thank you Vicki :) I miss my blogspace too. I'll think about posting up some doodles
DeleteShe's adorable. You have a real talent for portraits.
ReplyDeleteThank you Lynn ^^
DeleteThis drawing is worth the wait! I'm sure that the mother will be pleased. I must admit, I don't think that I know anyone who moves as much as you do. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteLOL. Yeah Sandra :) That's why we're looking for a house in Houston and it'll be our permanent place for a very long time. The mother's happy =) and thanks again
ReplyDeleteAn exquisite drawing...what an absolute sweetie...those eyes are so beautifully highlighted...and those cheeks so kissably wonderful! Kudoes my friend!
ReplyDeleteThank you Margaret. Yuna has grown a lot now, but she still has those pretty eyes and kissable cheeks ^^
