(Moleskine Sketchbook 3.5x5.5")
Not an accurate sketch of her actually, just wanted to capture her action using a single pencil, single eraser that's all.Thank you all for your wishes, and concerns. Had a good birthday with my in-laws, and had seafood gumbo(yummy) for dinner instead of cake, and I picked pecans for the first time in my life(we've got 87lbs in less than 90minutes). I miss home, and everyone at home, and I really appreciate the thoughts and the birthday card and birthday song video they've made for me.
cute..good thing it is a fake ipad she is teething on.....You amaze me, even with the limitations from your injuries your art is flawless....you are an inspiration....enjoy your work alot.
ReplyDeleteSuper cute! Yeeeeah. Obviously looks like a very quick and rough sketch. ;D
ReplyDeleteSeriously, it's awesome how you capture a fast moving child (and its ipad) so accurately in a sketch! You're a hero. *supersketchaward*!! <3
Hope your shoulder/wrist is better!
Alex, Somehow I missed that you were injured and did I miss a birthday? If I did I hope it was a good one. I think I will request gumbo instead of cake for my next one.
ReplyDeleteHere's hoping you a quick recovery and I don't think you are all that old (yuk, yuk).
Lovely sketch of the little one,
xoxo

ReplyDeleteHi Alex! I've always found so difficult portraying children, but you have a special gift for doing it with grace and sensitivity, letting us feel the sweetness of your subject, as if she was there in front of us!
