ChunOn

I know I've been drawing the girls(my nieces), so I thought I should give a little attention to one of the boys now. This is ChunOn, my younger nephew. He's the only one in the family with curly-curly hair, and everyone thought it's cute. He's turning 8 in July(I can't believe that!!) and he plays the piano and violin.

I used to tease him because of his name ChunOn(means Handsome-Safe) Chun-Off, like the On/Off switch. I don't know if he still remembers that, but he's such a good and talented boy and I miss him a lot too. I just hope he doesn't grow up too fast(yes that's a selfish thought of his little uncle living so far away)

This is a sketch of him playing video games. I know he looks worried in picture, but he's not, he's just concentrating really hard while playing the game ^^

Thank you all for visiting and your comments on my last sketch of KaQin. My sister said she loved it and I am glad she did.

  1. I've seen that "diligent game face" many times here in my own home! You've done a truly wonderful job and I'm sure when he sees it he'll think so too!

  4. OMG, he is just too cute, and I just love that face of concentration, looks like a very important adventure that he's on : ) My son has that face too, and he makes extra sounds with it, sometimes we get a great laugh listening to him. Alex, this is a brilliant drawing!!! I hope you get to see him again soon (and yes, they grow up far too fast, but you did capture that moment of his childhood so well).

  5. Alex, I really really love your portrait artwork!!!all the details is so real and beautiful and also the facial expression has been caught so vivid. If I were his mom,I will be so delighted to have it and hang it on the wall in house. By the way, you mentioned about the MARDI GRAS, haha...I thought that it's Austria one (which is the biggest gay parade)
and I released that you are mentioning the one in new orleans'one...

  23. Hi, A;ex Your portraits are extreme quality. You were born to create images of the human face and expression in the eyes is captured beautifully. I also notice you depict fabric folds and flow just as well. I love knowing you are self taught. I am, as well. Someday your work will bring money to you.

    Best always
    Tracey

PS Thank you for watching my work. It encourages me, and makes me happy. :o) Nice job on the Playstation.
