2'nFro

I was thinking a lot of people have sketched Raena for some reason, so I didn't want to miss the party. But I also remember that she's part of a very interesting project called 2'nFro and Dan Kent is also in it, so I thought it'd be fun to do their profile pictures on my Moleksine.
I thought about doing a really rough one, like comic style, but then I got carried away with values and tones again. I know that there's something absence here which is similarity, but it was fun doing it anyway.
So Dan and Raena, this is for you guys and your fun project =)

    Thats them alright!! No question on who they are, just like what Betty said "spot on"... I like how you added the text to the sketch. Its great, cant wait to see what Raena and Dan will say : )

    I recognized Raena right away. I don't know what Dan looks like, but I bet you caught his likeness to. Great work - how do you stay awake so long?

    Great drawing, Alex! Really. Instant recognition!
    I love the 2'nFro idea, too. It's similar to what I usually do (in person not via mail) with a friend of mine when we meet up to draw together and we feel uninspired. Just a lot less "serious". One starts drawing something silly and the page wanders between us evolving into some kind of weird world (and the accompanying story)...
    You lookin for a tandem partner now? ;D

    HAH!!! I DON'T BELIEVE IT! Wow! Thanks Alex for thinking of us and for the nod to 2'nFro - it's been a great project, though a little slow.

    OKAY. About the picture of ME. LOL! And to think that I was going to change the photo for my avatar and just haven't gotten around to it. Why?! Because everyone I know (in person) says the photo is a BAD PICTURE. My Wife said it is a BAD PICTURE. My Mother said it it is a BAD PICTURE. It is a bad picture. Not your fault - garbage in, garbage out. Serves me right! I stood one day with my cell phone and "snap".

    Excellent drawing though given what you had to work with! All the elements are there.

    This also reminds me to go back to the optometrist - never liked these glasses anyway.

    Anyway, this is so fun and funny! My wife will split her gut when she sees this one. A riot!

    Patsy, I was working night shift (shhhhh) and it's a 12 hour shift ^^
    Evi, tandem partner eh? =) Sounds interesting... who knows, I might.
    Dan, all I can say is that... "TEE HEE" and I know that I screwed up somewhere, I just didn't know where.... but now I know... it was YOU! ^o^

    Gadzooks! My wife says it looks just like me! I'm off to find a plastic surgeon.

    I hope you didn't mind the "garbage in - garbage out" comment - it was not in any way referring to the quality of your drawing which is, as always excellent. I think you drew that photo very well. It's just that, well, camera's lie..you know that, don't you?

    Although it does occur to me that if your drawing were to be posted as a wanted poster, I'd be caught for sure.

I think your work is just wonderful, and even though I don't know any of you personally, watching these interactions between all the EDM members makes me feel like there really are weekly group meetings.     HA! I LOVE it! I think you did a great job on it! I've always thought that picture of Dan looked a little like Henry Winkler, the Fonz! So, did you actually use those teeny, tiny pictures as the references? I cannot imagine how you could have done so well using them!
