I hadn't used my ink pen, color pencils, and drawing on a 2-page spread for a long time, so I thought I should. =)
I've always liked Green Day and I thought they have very interesting styles(both musics and fashion), and good humor.
Thank you all again for your kind comments, and I am glad Dan and Raena enjoyed my last post as much as I enjoyed their project. Hopefully that served as a good sign of approval to their blog, and that they'll keep producing more beautiful illustration for our viewing pleasure ^^
Alex, this is sooo cool! I'm so impressed by how you did this - I wouldn't know where to begin! nancy

ReplyDeleteIm also a fan of Green Day, and this picture is great (I like your pencil work and how you kept it all black but for the name, its a cool contrast with each other).

Great work! I love the way the negative space brings out the shapes.
ReplyDeleteYou manage to go from the soft shading of your previous drawing to the graphic style of this one with such ease! Terrific work!
ReplyDeleteWonderful use of light and shadow Alex. Bravo! :-)

ReplyDeleteCute new picture. Maybe Dan will draw this one too! Sorry to hear you can't get home to see your sister's new baby. Maybe you can make her first birthday party. That would be fun. She could actually get to know you then too.
