This is one of the latest phone from Casio, it's called the Rock. It is water and shock resistant, with all the similar features of the old well-known indestructible Casio G-Shock watches. It's passed all kinds of military test, you can drop it, toss it, throw it, abuse it, let it sit in the mud, freeze it in ice... you name it, it'll take all the beating you can throw at it. And if you fancy it, you could also make calls underwater or wash it in a washing machine/dishwasher when it's dirty =) Now that's what we all need right? That's why it totally fits the EDM # 268 Draw something you need.
Thank you all for your comments on Mario. And I am happy that most of you know who he is. I am sorry that Luigi or Yoshi are not joining the party, and I am not sure if I am going to continue with Video Games Heroes theme. For now I'm just drawing what comes to my mind, and have lots of fun while doing it. The phone was fun to do with just markers and highlighters, and it really feels like I was trying to do an advertisement on the newspaper or something
Wow, Alex!! This is a ringing endorsement for this product. And a wonderful sketch! It SOUNDS like something I need :-) Excellent!
ReplyDeleteSeeing I don't have a cell...this is a good idea!
ReplyDeleteNicely rendered and very handy. I've seen shock resistant phones but they were very bulky.
ReplyDeleteYou have made a very good drawing! I like the way you have managed to render the volume and shape of this object using colours rather than shadows, that's really interesting!
ReplyDeleteGreat drawing Alex...I need a new phone, I like the idea of shock resistant...I did drop one over our balcony once(although a bit of a nokia girl myself)Thanks for you comments
ReplyDeleteVery cool style! This phone seems great and very useful. You never know when friends are going to throw water on you, or throw you into the swimming pool, and the phone would be great for peace of mind... Love your drawing, as always!
ReplyDeleteNice one Alex.
ReplyDeleteYou use the markers very well, is it a quick process? (thinking thicker nibs/points here)
ReplyDeleteMy daughter once dropped her phone in the loo..the phone never worked again!
Very good portraits! Great with pencil .. Thank you for your comments :)
ReplyDeleteNice rendering!! in marker? love the colours and the way you rendered.
ReplyDeleteand i am truly inspired by you with "For now I'm just drawing what comes to my mind, and have lots of fun while doing it."
Happy drawing and exploring!!
Wow! This would have come in handy that time I was wading through a river and dropped mine. Although, since I never actually found it, I guess it still would not have helped! LOL Fantastic sketch. It seems like it is drawn in your heroes style. Interesting choice!
ReplyDeleteGreat job and love how the color pops!
ReplyDeletewell, doesn't everyone need a phone that you can throw in the washing machine? I wonder how much it weighs. Great drawing, Alex.
ReplyDeleteGreat sketch! That phone almost looks like a little sci-fi slotcar... kind of. :) Very high-tech (shock-resistant does sound very reasonable to me...).
ReplyDeleteTotally understand regarding the super heroes series etc. I'm often getting bored with a theme quite soon too (as you may have guessed from my rather inconsistent blog contents *g*). Looking forward to seeing whatever you're having fun with! <3
I agree with Betty - this could be a cool product advert - with your particular skills makes this hip
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely wonderful Alex! The lettering is really great too. :-)
ReplyDeleteFantastic drawing! That sounds like a very practical phone to have. I like your Mario drawing below too. Yep, even I recognized him :-)
